Salutations to the Lord Ganesha!

Om Vakratunda Mahaakaaya Surya-koti Sama Prabha
Nirvighnam kuru mey Deva, Sarva kaaryeshu Sarvadaa

O Lord Ganesha of Large body, curved trunk, with the brilliance of a million suns, please make all my work free of obstacles, always.

Om Shuklam Baradaram Vishnum, Shashivaranam Chaturbhujam
Prasanna Vadanam Dhyayet, Sarva-vignopa Shantaye

He who is attired in white and is all pervading, who has the complexion of the moon, who has four arms and a smiling face so pleasing, upon hi we meditate for removing all obstacles

Om Agajanana padmarkham, Gajananam aharnishun
Aneka-dantham Bhakthanam, ekadantham upasmahe, ekadantham upasmahe

To the elephant faced one, with trunk and Lotus body and eyes, to that Gajanana we pray day and night. To the one with the single tusk who grants boons to his many devotees do we pray day and night.

Om Akhanda-mandala-kaaram Vyaaptam
Yena Chara-charam, Tat-padam Darshita Yena
Tasmai Sri Guruve Namaha, Tasmai Sri Guruve Namaha

I bow down before Gurudev who has revealed to me the Lotus feet of the Almighty are true indeed

Om Dhyaana-mulam Gurur-murti, Pooja mulam Gurur Padam
Mantra mulam Gurur vaakyam, Moksha mulam Gurur Kripa

The object of meditation is the Guru’s form. The object of worship is the Guru’s feet. The object of mantra is the Guru’s word. Through the Guru’s grace we only achieve Liberation.
